PA66 (Polyamide 66)
Introduction

PA66, also known as Nylon 66, is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic prized for its balance of rigidity and toughness. Its inherent high heat resistance and chemical stability ensure dimensional accuracy and reliable operation under thermal stress, while its excellent mechanical properties and high strength deliver outstanding structural integrity in demanding environments.

This polyamide also provides good abrasion resistance, wear resistance and chemical resistance, making it ideal for parts exposed to friction and harsh media. PA66 material processes easily by injection molding or extrusion and can be compounded with flame-retardant additives to meet rigorous fire-safety standards without sacrificing performance.

Thanks to this robust profile and cost–performance efficiency, PA66 finds widespread use across the automotive sector for radiator end tanks, intake manifolds and timing gears; in electrical and electronics for connectors and insulators; in industrial machinery for bushings and conveyor parts; and in consumer goods wherever durability, precision and long-term reliability are essential.
